The A1 division match in DDCA league between Young Friends and Delhi Audit ended in a tie with the teams scoring an identical 154 runs. Unbeaten knocks by Prakishit Bhatia (109) and Mukesh Marwaha (82) enabled Essex Farm prevail over LIC by 10 wickets in B division.

DDA games
Seema Seth outplayed Saroj Chowdhary 11-4, 11-7, while Nandita Bora overwhelmed Usha Sharma 11-4, 11-5 in the ladies badminton singles semi-final of DDA annual indoor games.

Results: Men's singles (quarter-final): Maharaj Krishan bt B Tewari 15-2, 15-6, Nand Lal bt VK Kapoor 15-11, 11-15, 15-13, P Bhattacharjee bt Maniram 15-2, 15-5, AK Puri bt Raj Kumar Jerath 15-4, 15-6.

Ball badminton
Delhi men won the second north zone ball badminton title beating Punjab 29-8, 29-18 at Chandigarh. In the women's section, Chandigarh defeated Punjab 29-28, 29-24. Delhi clinched the third position.

Badminton meet
The inter-ministry badminton tournament for civilian central government employees of Delhi/New Delhi will be organised at Ansari Nagar courts from January 11. Entries close with Central Civil Services, Cultural & Sports Board, Room No. 361, Lok Nayak Bhavan, Khan Market, on January 7 (Phone: 4624204).

Danial hits 114
A stroke-filled 114 by Deepak Danial (12x4, 6x6) helped Youth Fellowship Holy Trinity Church triumph over Dhaka Church XI by 97 runs in the semi-final of third inter-church Unity Cup.

Manjit sparkles
Fine knock by Manjit Singh (55) enabled Youngmen humble MCC (Mundakhaira) by two wickets in the first round of Dada Swami tournament at Dariyapur. In another match, GCC humbled KCC by three wickets. Parmesh Kumar (40) was the main scorer for the winners while Dharmvir (28) contributed for the losers.
