In the semi-finals played today, Bal Bhawan defeated DAV School from Vishakhapatnam 15-11, 13-15, 15-11 while St Mathews defeated Kripal Sagar Academy from Punjab 15-9, 14-16, 15-9. Poonam and Shifa Sharma played well for Bal Bhawan while Manisha of Vizag school gave intelligent placings and thrilling smashes.

P Swetha Padma of St Mathews School and Randeep kaur of Kripal Sagar Academy gave good account of themselves in the other semi-final.

In the boys section, D A V Vshakhapatnam will take on Guru Gobind Singh School (Bokaro) in the final tomorrow. In the semi-finals, the Vizag school beat St John's School 15-2, 15-7 while the Bokaro boys defeated Shah Satnamji School from Sirsa 15-4, 15-1. The finals are slated for 11 am on Monday at the school courts.
