VADODARA, Jan 6: Rs 1.50 lakh will be spent in Kuvarpura village of Dabhoi taluka for setting up a drainage system, announced Dabhoi MLA Siddharth Patel on Wednesday.He was speaking at the inauguration of 15th tubewell project the village. The programme was jointly organised by Lions Club of Stadium (Baroda) D-323 F, Lions Club of Enfield (London) D-105 and the project has been sponsored by Vijay C Patel staying in London.
Launching the project, Civil Supplies Minister Jaspal Singh urged the need to increase the scope of such projects. He hoped that the sarpanch would ensure that people staying in the village were benefitted by the setting up of the tubewell. Instead of spending money for religious purposes people should donate funds for providing water facilities, he said.
Patel said Rs 50,000 would be spent from the MLA's grant and Rs 50,000 each from MP Urmila Patel's grant and MP Narayan Rathwa's grant to set up a drainage system. Village sarpanch Navin Patel also spoke on the occasion.
