LUCKNOW, Jan 7: Rashtriya Loktantrik Morcha president, Mulayam Singh Yadav, today said that he was in touch with some regional parties in the south to persuade them to join the Third Front, which alone, according to him, would be a viable alternative in the prevailing political climate.Refusing to divulge the names of these regional parties, Mulayam Singh said, ``negotiations are still on with them.'' The formation of the Third Front would be given final shape at the Samajwadi Party's national convention to be held at Bhopal from January 29, Yadav told reporters here.
The Bhopal convention would be attended, among others, by Rashtriya Janata Dal president, Laloo Prasad Yadav. Yadav accused the Congress of ``turning a blind eye to the misrule of the BJP at the Centre and promoting communal forces in connivance with it''.
He charged the BJP with ``conspiring to convert the country into a Hindu Rashtra''. On the leadership issue in the ruling coalition in Uttar Pradesh, Mulayam said, ``the alliancepartners of the Kalyan Singh government have no principles''.
