Minister of State for Animal Husbandry and Fisheries, Amar Mani Tripathi (Lok Tantrik Congress) and Yashwant Singh, Minister of State for Technical Education (Jantantrik Bahujan Samaj Party) claimed at a press conference here that 19 of the 28 ministers of State belonging to alliance partners of BJP have decided to form the coordination committee.

They said their action was aimed at expressing ``serious reservations over their neglect'' by the Cabinet ministers and the Chief Minister over allocation of work to them. The ministers, however, asserted there was no (no) threat to the Kalyan Singh government.

The announcement of the formation of the committee came a few days after Kalyan Singh had rejected the allies' demand for such an arrangement saying there was no ``genuine need'' for it. ``We had an informal meeting last night and all of us were unanimous that they were being neglected by their Cabinet ministers as well as the Chief Minister as far as allocation of work was concerned,'' they said.

``We have also sought an audience with the Chief Minister to discuss the issue,'' Tripathi and Singh said, adding, there should be a full fledged meeting of the council of ministers at least twice a month besides the Cabinet meetings. ``We would like to impress upon the Chief Minister to either properly allocate the work or give us independent charge. The Chief Minister himself is holding the charge of 30 departments,'' they said.

Among others ministers of the State present at the press conference were Ram Pal Rajvanshi, Minister of State for Non-conventional Energy, belonging to the Janata Dal (Raja Ram) and Shivendra Singh, Rural Development Minister of JBSP.

While Kalyan Singh was away in Allahabad, his Cabinet and party colleague, Kalraj Mishra said the Chief Minister has already decided to convene a meeting of alliance partners soon to sort out matters. ``Whatever problems they have will be looked into and efforts would be made to solve them,'' Mishra said.
