A joint statement signed by two State level chairmen of ex-servicemen and unemployed cells, two vice-presidents, the vice-president of youth front and a joint secretary, said the resignation was ``in response of All Nyishi Students Union (ANSU) and Nyishi Elite Society (NES) notice for mass resignation from the party posts holders of Nyishi community''.

Others who resigned included the president, vice-president, vice-president (women), general secretary and joint secretary of the Itanagar City Arunachal Congress.

On Wednesday, the chairman of the teachers' cell and the chairman of the vigilance cell had also resigned on similar grounds.
