PM returns favour, snubs Sena
The Shiv Sena was snubbed on Friday with Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee declaring that no one will be permitted to disrupt the forthcoming Pakistan tour of India. And Pakistan High Commissioner Ashraf Jehangir Qazi confirmed that his country's team will play in India.

Judicial probe ordered into Sabarimala tragedy
The Kerala Government has ordered a judicial inquiry into Thursday's stampede at Sabarimala as the toll in the worst-ever tragedy at the famous hill shrine has been put at 52 by official sources.

India to achieve 75 % literacy by 2005: Study
India is all set to usher in the next millennium with the 'light of letters' that would kindle the lives of its illiterate masses. According to the National Literacy Mission, the country will cross the 'threshold sustainable level' of 75 per cent literacy between 2004 and 2005.
