Sexual health meet opens

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
VADODARA, Jan 20: A five-day `Sexual Health Mela', organised by city-based Deepak Charitable Trust was inaugurated in Angadh village, near Nandesari, on Wednesday. The Mela aims to educate the villagers on issues related to sexual and reproductive health.

Chief Co-ordinator of the Trust Aruna Lakhani told Express Newsline, ``Open talks about sexual health are hardly encouraged in our social set up, especially in the rural areas. By this Mela, we will encourage candid discussions on factors leading to sexually transmitted diseases and reproductive infections and also measures to prevent the same''.

She added that as a unique exercise, the Mela will also focus on male concerns regarding sex and sexuality.
