Sandeep Srikant of Royal Madras Yacht Club was the runner up, while Rajesh Chaudhari of EME sailing association third in overall placing after the last race.

The fight for runners up place in today's event was between Sandeep Srikant of RMYC and Arjun Pradipak of Secunderabad.

A tough battle between the two kept the spectators excited. Both of them, with their extraordinary tactical skills and experience displayed a tough fight as a result of which their position kept changing thrice.

Finally exhibiting exemplary determination Sandeep went past Srikant within one boat length of the finish line.

Rajesh Chaudhary of EME sailing club due to better performance in his earlier races came third in the overall placing.

In the optimistic class under-15 category it was a matter of formality for deciding the winner as Varun Prabhakar had alreadywon it the day before.

Niloufer Jamal RMYC turned the tables to come second while Deepak Premkumar of RMYC finished third.
