NEW DELHI, Jan 22: World champion Geet Sethi chalked out yet another facile win as he trounced Nitin Kohli (UP) 931-293 while Asian Games double gold medalist Ashok Shandilya scored an emphatic 869-524 win over veteran Arvind Savur (Karnataka) in the National billiards championship here today. In Group A, Geet Sethi provided a lesson to Nitin Kohli as he dazzled on the green baize.Sethi had a break of 199 on his 5th visit and followed it up with a 96 on the very next. Sethi had his best break of 226 on his 28th visit, which were followed by efforts of 77 and 79. In Group H, Railway's Shandilya outplayed Arvind Savur. The Asian Games champion's breaks of 154 on his 15th visit and 93 on the 34th visit sealed Savur's fate. Though Shandil ya dominated, Savur failed to put up any worthwhile resistance.
The Karnataka player had an effort of 87 on his 9th visit but struggled thereafter. A fine break of 126 in the 37th visit came too late in the day.
In the Junior national snooker championship, 13-year-oldPankaj Advani of Karnataka and Ritesh Shah (Maharashtra) moved into the quarter-finals routing Dhruv Verma (Punjab) 3-0 (65-21, 52-49, 69-8) and HR Noria (AP) 3-0 (48-44, 58-54, 109-9).
