`Don't throw out eatables' as govt fears bird hits
The government today appealed to the people of Delhi and its surrounding areas not to throw eatables and garbage in the open as it attracts birds, which can prove dangerous to helicopters and aircraft taking part in the Republic-Day flypast.

``The birds are dangerous not only to low-flying aircraft but also to pilots and the general public. People are requested to report to the nearest Air Force or police station if they find any carcass in the open,'' an official release said.
