PERINTHALMANNA (KERALA), JAN 23: Maharashtra girls lost Uttar Pradesh 25-11, 25-14, 25-12 even as hosts Kerala and Andhra Pradesh brightened their prospects of entering the semi-finals of the girls section of National Junior Volleyball Championship with straight-set wins over Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal respectively here today.In the boys section, Tamil Nadu who beat Madhya Pradesh 25-9, 25-5, 25-6 and Punjab who humbled Bengal 25-23, 20-25, 20-25, 25-16, 25-10 qualified for the quarterfinal.
RESULTS
Boys: West Bengal bt MP 25-16, 25-21, 25-20; AP bt Pondicherry 25-21, 25-13, 25-16.
Girls: Kerala bt Punjab 25-10, 25-10, 25-15; UP bt Maharashtra 25-11, 25-14, 25-12.
