Rapists ruin wedding party

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
MUMBAI, Jan 23: When the Sharmas (name changed) decided to throw a cocktail party to celebrate their wedding on Friday night, they hadn't the faintest clue that three rapists had made it to the guest list.

All was well till 11 pm, when the party at the couple's Yadav Nagar, Andheri (East) residence, broke up. However, after the others had left, Noor Mohammed Gulam Mohammed Malik, Vinayak Namu Bhagat and Bhaktawar Sheikh Amir persuaded the newly-weds to allow them to stay for another round of drinks.

Half-an-hour later, the trio took the husband for a walk. While Bhagat and Amir kept him chatting, Malik returned to the house and raped the bride at knifepoint. After that, he joined the group while Bhagat retraced his steps and raped the woman. When he returned, Amir went to the house and raped her. The trio then bade the husband goodbye and left.

Still light-headed, Sharma returned home, only to find his wife in tatters. The couple lodged a complaint with the Saki Naka police, who have arrested the trio.
