Enqvist ousts Philippoussis
Sweden's Thomas Enqvist out-served and ousted Mark Philippoussis in five thrilling set on Sunday to reach the Australian Open quarter-finals. Enqvist saw off a late challenge from the big-hitting 14th seed and U.S. Open finalist to win their three-hour fourth-round match 6-2 6-4 6-7 4-6 6-2. Top seeded Indians Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi carved out a hard-fought straight-set win.

Sensational spells by Bengal teenage allrounder Laxmi Ratan Shukla and Karnataka medium pacer Doda Ganesh pushed Pakistan on the defensive as the visitors were reeling at 107 for five in their second essay after having taken a 58 run lead against India 'A' on the penultimate day of the three day cricket match in Gwalior.
