Ministry expansion by week-end: CM

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
BANGALORE, JAN 25: Chief Minister J H Patel said on Monday that his Council of Ministers would be expanded by this week-end.

Replying to questions at a media conference here, Patel gave indications to the effect that neither did he plan to drop any member of the existing Council of Ministers nor reconstitute the Ministry. ``There will only be an expansion,'' he said.

He said the meeting of the senior party leaders in Delhi on Sunday was inconclusive and made it clear that ``there is no question of taking dictations from anyone''.

``There is no high command in Janata Dal to dictate terms,'' said Patel. He added that senior JD leaders H D Deve Gowda and S R Bommai would return to Bangalore on Tuesday and that he would discuss the issue with them.
