KARIMNAGAR, JAN 25: A Dalam member of the outlawed People's War Group (PWG) naxalites was killed in an encounter with police, even as extremists blasted the house of a landlord in the district during the past 24 hours.Narender (22), a squad area committee member of Santosh Dalam of PWG, was killed in an encounter with police between Katlapur and Kammarapalli villages on the Nizamabad-Karimnagar border area this morning, police said.
The ultras opened fire at the police party, which was on a combing operation. In the retaliatory firing, Narender was killed, police said.
In a separate incident, Jagtyal area naxals blasted the house of Nannapaneni Rajagopaloa Rao at Pembatla village under Sarangpur police station limits last night.
Rao and his family members were away when the house was blasted, police said, adding that the act was in protest against a police encounter at Rangapet village on January 17.
This was the second incident of Naxals blasting the houses of landlords in a week in the district.PWG naxals had blasted the house of V Ramachandra Rao in neighbouring Poltrevu village on January 20, police added.
