Nagsen Etambe and Shilpa Joshi have been given the pride of place in the Open and women's singles, respectively, in the 34h Maharashtra State and Inter-District Championships to be held at Chiplun, Ratnagiri, from Janary 27 to 31.

Jr Masters tennis

Over 100 players from the city have been selected for the first MSLTA Hero Honda junior tennis Masters, which will be held at the PYC Gymkhana tennis courts inPune from February 22-28.The list of players selected have been put up at the major tennis centres in Mumbai and at the MSLTA.

Selected players have to confirm their entries with the MSLTA Office, Mumbai, or with Hemant Bendrey at the PYC Gymkhana Pune before Feb 12.
