Monkey steals the show during auspicious function

BANGALORE, Jan 25: It was Hanuman, the loyal servant of Rama who came to participate in the auspicious function of the release of the 'Valmiki kanda Ramayana' by Bannanje Govindacharya, said viewers who came to hear the spiritual talk on the Bhagvad Gita. When Govindacharya came to the venue to deliver the talk, an adult monkey followed him and went up to the dias with him. The organisers tried to drive out the monkey but failed. The 350-strong gathering watched the monkey sitting in front of the microphone along with Acharya. When the book was taken to be released, the monkey took the package from him and tore the wrapper signalling the release of the book. It even scanned a few pages of the book. It then got off the dias and lef the auditorium nabling the Acharya to deliver the address.
