PRESS TRUST OF INDIA
New Delhi, Jan 28: BJP president Khushabhau Thakre today rejected the suggestion by Trinamool Congress leader Mamata Banerjee for a national government at the centre saying BJP was not in favour of such a move. ``I don't think it is possible nor such a situation existed,'' Thakre told Doordarshan current affairs programme Aaj Tak in an interview, adding that BJP was not in favour of any such proposal.BJP Chief wanted coalition partners to work in close coordination and said all parties should take a collective decision on matters. Thakre said he had no knowledge of reported resignation by parliamentary affairs Minister Madan Lal Khurana but said he was in receipt of his missive regarding `atonement' in the wake of attack on minorities.
