College gathering turns violent Four students were seriously injured when the annual social gathering of T C College in Baramati turned violent on Thursday. Over 60 collegians wielding knives, iron rods and sticks indulged in a free- for-all following a squabble while a variety entertainment show was on. The injured, Vikas Galande, his brother Ajay, Nilesh Ingavale and Abhijit Kale were admitted to a hospital. Galande and Kale lodged counter complaints at Baramati police station. Galande alleged that he, Ajay and Nilesh were attacked by 19 students led by Kale. Kale claimed that he and his friends were attacked by Galande and 40 others. They quarrelled when Kale objected to Vikas' catcalls.HSC practicals The HSC practical examinations slated to begin from February 15 have been postponed. An official communique issued by Maharashtra State Education Board said the examinations will now be conducted from March 22 to April 5.
