State staff to intensify stir

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
NAGPUR, JAN 31: State Government employees will intensify their nationwide agitation against privatisation, indiscriminate computerisation, entry of multinationals and communal politics.

The decision to intensify the nationwide agitation was taken at the two-day meeting of national executive of All India State Government Employees Federation held here. Briefing the media later, Federation General Secretary Sukomal Sen said that the committee expressed grave concern over the Central Government's policy of opening doors to the multi-nationals and total acceptance of conditions imposed by the WB and WTO. The federation feels that economic sovereignty is threatened as the Centre has surrendered before the WTO.
