Rujuta bags bronze

JANUARY 31: Maharashtra'S twelve-year-old Rujuta Rege of Arya Vidya Mandir, Santa Cruz, bagged a bronze medal in the sub-junior girls singles category of the 60th National Table Tennis Championship held at Indore.This was unseeded Rujuta's first medal triumph. Sweta Joshi, in the cadet girls' section, and the Maharashtra B cadets team, also claimed a bronze medal each.PlayZone ends ESPN STAR Sports' unique sports carnival `Play Zone' concluded today at the Shivaji Park . The event offered people a chance to test their skills in games such as cricket, football, basketball, golf and WWF in specially designed play stations. The first day was restricted to school children from across the city. Around 10,000 visitors participated in PlayZone. The event now moves to Ahmedabad.
