GGS Foundation gen secy issues clarification

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
CHANDIGARH, Jan 31: The general secretary-cum-vice-president of Guru Gobind Singh Foundation has clarified that the news item published in Chandigarh Newsline regarding serving of liquor at a marriage ceremony in Guru Gobind Singh Bhawan was "factually incorrect." In a meeting of the executive committee of the Foundation it was noted that "booking of the Bhawan for any type of function is done strictly on prescribed written condition that there would be no smoking or drinking and that the written undertaking was also taken from Akshay Garg who had got the booking for the marriage ceremony."

In a press release, it has also been stated that if name and address of any person who came in drunken condition to premises is communicated to the management, strict suitable action against the person will be taken.
