MTNL Adalat hears 409 complaints

NEW DELHI, Jan 31: Four hundred and nine telephone complaints were made today at the Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL) Adalat held in the Capital. Of the 409 complaints, as many as 129 concerned dead telephones, the MTNL spokesperson, Sushma Talwar said.One hundred and eight complaints were about inflated bills issued to consumers. According to the spokesperson, 381 complaints were settled ``amicably''. She said that C.V. Rajan, chief general manager, took up the grievances of the consumers, which were submitted in advance.
