Expressing concern over the death of the children, Chauhan and Thakur have urged Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal and Health Minister J.P. Nadda to send a special medical team to the affected villages, which are now under three feet of snow.

According to information available here, a medical team along with vaccines and medicines has been rushed to Khalwahan today. Deputy Commissioner Prabodh Saxena, along with a team of doctors, has also left for Khalwahan.Meanwhile, in the absence of the Chief Medical Officer, who is away on tour, the department spokesman refused to comment on the non-availability of staff in health centres and hospitals in Chachiot sub-division of this district.
