Boxer, Golden Retriever steal show

PATIALA, JAN 31: The 12th and 13th all breed championship dog-show of the Patiala Kennel Club was held at the Polo Grounds here today. Gary Endward Doyle from New Zealand judged the 12th dog-show. The following are the results of the 12th dog show:

First best in show: Boxer owned by Shyam Mehta, second best - Golden Retriever owned by Mukul Vaid and Anjali Vaid, third best - German Shepherd owned by Herbert. In this category, the best breed in India award was bagged by a Pomeranaian.

The 13th dog-show was judged by N. Radhakrishanan from Mumbai. The following are the results of this show: Best Puppy - Boomer, a Doberman. First best in show: A Golden Retriever owned by Mukul Vaid and Anjali Vaid, second best - Irish Setter, third best - Boxer owned by A.D. Sharmam son of former President S.D.Sharma.

A total of 311 entries were received in 34 different breeds, said Vijay Singh, president of the Patiala Kennel Club.

Raja Narinder Singh, Minister of State for Public Health, inaugurated the show. K.S.Grewal, district and session judge, gave away prizes to the winners in show.
