NEW DELHI, January 31: North Zone champions Chandigarh will meet holders Indian Railways in their opening match of the Under-21 Zonal National Football Championship for the M Dutta Roy Trophy which begins at Nimbahera in Rajasthan on February 20, according to reports reaching here today.According to the groupings released by the All India Football Federation, last year's winners Railways have been placed in group `A' along with North Zone winners Chandigarh, South Zone winners Karnataka and East Zone winners.
Last year's holders Bengal are in group `B' along with North East Zone and West Zone winners and hosts Rajasthan. The semi-finals will be played on February 26 and final on February 28. The semi-final and final matches will be played in Udaipur city.
The following are the fixtures (q-finals):
Feb 20: Railways vs Chandigarh (A), Karnatakaa vs East Zone winners (A), NE winners vs Rajasthan (B). Feb 21: Chandigarh vs East Zone winners (A), Railways vs Karnataka (A), Bengal vs West Zone winners (B).
Feb 22: Rest day. Feb 23: NE winners vs West Zone winners (B), Railways vs East Zone winners (A), Bengal vs Rajasthan (B). Feb 24: Chandigarh vs Karnataka (A), Rajasthan vs West Zone winners (B), Bengal vs NE Zone winners (B). All quarter-final matches at Nimbahera (Chittorgarh). Feb 26 (semi-finals): Winners of Group `A' vs runners-up of Group `B' and Winners of Group `B' vs runners-up of Group `A'. Feb 28: Final.Delhi Run
Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) women dominated the Delhi international 10 and five km run at the Nehru Stadium here. While K P Suma, Sudha and Mukti Roy (all CRPF) grabbed the top three spots in the five km race, Pushpa (National Stadium), Rigzin Angmo (CRPF) and Mini Sebastian (CRPF) took the honours in the 10 km run.
