Anniversary celebrated
The local Air Defence Artillery Brigade celebrated its third anniversary on Monday. In his address, Brigadier Arjan Dutta, said the profession called for selfless service and sacrifice. A `barakhana' was organised for the families of all ranks in the evening. A variety of entertainment programmes were held on the occasion. Neena Dutta gave away prizes to winners of various contests and motivation prizes to children of jawans who performed well in various fields.

Body in train
The body of a 65-year-old man was found in a coach of the Ahmedabad-Baroda Intercity Express, which arrived at Vadodara at 5.55 p.m.on Tuesday. The Government Railway Police, which sent the body for a post-mortem, said the man was most likely to have died of a cardiac arrest. A bank passbook in his pocket mentions the name of Mohanlal Jethanand Nashi, a resident of Maninagar, Ahmedabad.

Convention
The annual convention of the Federation of Gujarat Malaylee Associations will be held at the ONGC Town Hall, Ankleshwar on Sunday. A Prasad, IAS, will be the chief guest on the occasion, while MP Mansukh Vasava and MLA from Ankleshwar Jayantibhai Patel will be guests of honour.

Camp held
The Kamdar Swasthaya Suraksha Mandal held a two-day camp for industrial workers on January 28-29. State Chief Inspector of Factories, B N Mehta, director, Employees State Insurance Scheme, Nitin Vora, regional deputy director, Health, Dr V M Shah apprised the workers of various health hazards.
