Police claims to have solved cases
The Fatehgunj police on Tuesday claimed to have solved five cases of theft -- two committed this year, two in 1998 and one in 1995 -- and arrested one Chapa Mohan of Anand town in connection with the thefts. According to PI Dinesh Mishra, Mohan admitted stealing articles from a house in Samarth Society and four shops on Abhilash Chowkadi. Some stolen articles have been recovered from him.

Stolen phone
Vasantbhai Meghraj Ahuja, a resident of Mahadev Society near RTO office in Warasia, has lodged a complaint with the City Police Station that a cordless phone instrument worth Rs 4,200 was stolen from his house by one Girish Motiram Upadhyaya yesterday. Police are looking into the matter.

Vehicle theft
In two cases of vehicle theft registered by the police, a Luna moped (GJ-6-K-4937) worth Rs. 5,000 was stolen from outside Neelkanth Mahadev temple in Dandia Bazar and a Bajaj Super (GJT 1926) worth Rs 6,000 disappeared from the parking lot of Narmada Bhavan. Raopura police are investigating both cases.
