The girl was kidnapped by her 25-year-old neighbour Salim alias Iqbal Ali Husain Khan Pathan. According to police, an affair had developed between the two and they had eloped January 15, 1999. As the girl is a minor, a case of kidnapping has been registered against the youth, the police stated.
