NEW DELHI, February 2: Delhi Police Commissioner V.N.Singh today said investigators probing the murder of The Indian Express journalist Shivani have come up with several clues.Singh refused to elaborate, but added that a ``breakthrough will be made very soon''. He said the motive behind the murder is yet to be determined.``We have questioned several persons in connection with the case so far. We have also obtained several leads. It's now a question of connecting all the angles,'' he said.
The much-awaited CFSL report on the blood stains found on a frying pan and a towel in Shivani's Patpargunj residence had not reached police headquarters till late in the evening.
Investigators have obtained records of all telephone calls made to and from Shivani's house in the past three months. A group of experts are sifting through this information. A senior police official said: ``These will definitely answer some questions. It's only a matter of time.''
Meanwhile, reports from Chandigarh reveal that another team of Delhi Police officials reached there today. One team has been camping there since January 24. Sources say the investigators visited the Industrial Area Police Station yesterday and asked for certain suspects. On Sunday last, they reportedly questioned a resident of Sector 46 in Chandigarh, who runs a screen printing business. The police wanted to know whether he printed wedding cards too. They found, however, that he did not.
