Prostitution racket busted

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
FARIDABAD, February 2: Seven persons, including four women, were arrested on Monday for being involved in a prostitution racket in the NIT area of the district. The police said that Sukhdev Singh Bhadauria, who claims to be a retired Colonel, had been running the racket from his Dabua Colony residence for the past six months.

``He supplied girls to affluent persons and also entertained select patrons in his house,'' Senior Superintendent of Police Mohammad Aquil said. Last night, an informer reportedly gave a tip-off to Deputy Superintendent of Police Narender Singh Ahlawat about the racket. The police set a deal through a decoy customer and nabbed four girls, two men alleged to be customers and Bhadauria after a raid at the latter's Dabua Colony house. Those arrested have been booked under Sections 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 of the Immoral Traffic Act.
