Bagan in desperate search of win

Saibal Bose
CALCUTTA, Feb 2: Mohun Bagan desperately need a win in the National Football League. They will surely be looking for one in their Group A return match against Tollygunge Agragami here tomorrow. They have won only one match so far and have even lost to JCT. With seven points, they are currently fourth in the group.

Tollygunge, of course, will not be easy opponents, particularly after their string of successes in the league so far. They are at the top of the ladder with 10 points and are yet to lose a match. The first-leg match between the two ended in goalless draw.

There is, however, good news for Bagan. Stopper-back Samuel Omollo is likely to be back from Kenya. The Bagan defence missed Omollo in the few matches that they played without him. But they will be without IM Vijayan, forcing Jo Paul Ancheri to play alongside the out-of-form Chima Okerie.

Tollygunge had a strong midfield and they have forged a good understanding too with Bastab Roy and skipper Chandan Das feeding their forwards Chibuzor andRoshan Pereira well.
