KOCHI: Hrishikesh Kanitkar (Maharashtra) will lead the Board President's XI against Pakistan in a three-day cricket match to be played at the Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium here from February 11.

Yadav team tops Mumbai: Naresh Yadav and crew won the Mumbai-Goa National Offshore Seabird class sailing rally last week clocking a shade under 50 hours after braving heavy winds and strong waves.

Naresh Yadav, JS Jehangir, GL Yadav and JD Rami finished the gruelling four-day race in 49 hours, 36 minutes and 22 seconds, ahead of the second-placed team of Nilay Patil and crew(53:39:15).

UP lads triumph

Lucknow: For the third consecutive year Uttar Pradesh won the all-India KD Singh Babu Memorial sub-junior hockey tournament at the Sports College Ground here today. In the final Uttar Pradesh defeated Roop Nagar, Punjab by a solitary first half goal. Rajasthan beat Haryana 4-0 for the third place.
