Foul protest: Fish cooked near official's workplace

RAMESWARAM, Feb 3: Fisherwomen of Akkalmadam village near here resorted to a novel protest today by cooking fish in front of the office of assistant director, Fisheries Department, to press their demand. They demanded that the houses built by the Tamil Nadu Government for them five years ago be repaired.The protest was withdrawn on the official's assurance that their houses would be repaired.
