A delegation led Pradip Gupta, Chairman of the committee submitted a memorandum of their demands to Agarwal on Tuesday. The committees should function on a voluntary basis therefore not incurring any cost on the municipal administration, Gupta said in a statement issued today.

The committee should be led by the local corporator in the particular ward along with social workers, Gupta said further demanding that a board of visitors should be appointed at the Kamala Nehru Hospital.

Pune: Writer and public relations consultant Jayant Ranade has been selected for this year's `Sevekar Entrepreneurial Literary Award', instituted by the Sevekar family of Hingoli. Ranade has written three books in Marathi, `Shodh Udyamsheelatechya Preranancha'in two parts and `Udyogi Manase'.
