Vajpayee to take bus to Pak
Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee today sought to cut through 51 years of mutual distrust between India and Pakistan by accepting with alacrity Nawaz Sharif's invitation to join the inaugural bus to Lahore and promising to move forward on a bilateral nuclear dialogue with Islamabad.This unprecedented announcement, in reaction to Sharif's exclusive interview to The Indian Express yesterday, came from a spokesman of the Ministry of External Affairs this evening.

Jaya begs to differ with PM on joint allies' strategy
Fresh trouble erupted at the Centre today with AIADMK chief J Jayalalitha refusing to sign a joint statement of the coalition constituents and threatening to withdraw support to the Vajpayee government by saying that the issue of support was ``open'' and ``an appropriate decision will be taken at an appropriate time''.
