Jilted lover pastes nude pics of girl in bldg

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
MUMBAI, FEB 9: Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, but what if the victim is a man? Satwinder Singh Santosh Singh Parmar (28), a resident of CBD Belapur in Navi Mumbai, was determined to turn the saying on its head.

Parmar had been in love with his neighbour Romila (name changed) for the past couple of years and was planning to marry her. Since he was a Jat and the girl a Sikh, Romila's parents opposed the relationship and got her engaged to another person nearly two months ago. With the engagement, the relationship between Parmar and Romila started turning sour.

Over the last one month, Parmar pleaded with her to break off the engagement and run away with him. Romila, however, maintained that the past be left behind and asked to be left alone in future.

Enraged at being dismissed from her attention, Parmar decided to take revenge. In their more loving times, he had persuaded Romila to pose for photographs in the nude and clicked a series of pictures catching her in various stages of undressing.Parmar decided to use these pictures to snatch his love back. According to Navi Mumbai police, he threatened Romila with exposure if she didn't call off the engagement. ``He told her that if she didn't become his, he would see to it that no one else would take her,'' said DCP Sanjiv Gonarkar.

But Romila refused. Parmar then took a picture of Romila in the nude to a studio in Mumbai, enlarged it and took three photostat copies. With these copies, he made posters giving details of the girl, including her name, address, and telephone number. Two days ago, two such posters came up on the wall in the building Romila stays in at Belapur -- at a time when preparations for her marriage were going on.

A police complaint was registered by Romila's parents and Parmar was picked up by Turbhe police. He has been remanded to police custody till February 11.
