Attempted kidnapping One Narendra Gangaram Patel, a resident of Nandanvan Society in Katargam, was arrested for trying to kidnap a minor from the area, a case registered in the Katargam police station said. Dilip Shah, a resident of Khodiyar Society in Katargam, told the police that the accused tried to kidnap his daughter Sneha (8) by giving her chocolates at Sai Shraddha Society. The accused was however arrested and handed over to the police. A case under IPC 363, 323 and 511 has been registered.Suicides One Deenbandhu Shahu, a 35-year-old labourer and working in the city committed suicide by hanging himself to the ceiling of his house, located in Gandhi Kutir area of Udhna. The Udhna police recovered the body of the deceased and have initiated an inquiry into the incident. A case under section 174 of the Code of Criminal Procedure has been lodged in the police station. In another case, 20-year-old Dharmishtha, wife of Mahesh Mafatbhai, committed suicide on Monday evening by consuming an insecticide, the Katargam police said. According to the police, the victim committed suicide in her house located at Hari Om Society in Katargam.
