The session, opening with the address by Governor Justice A G Balkrishnan, would take up official bills besides subjects of public importance, according to a press release from the secretariat.

On the opening day, the House would adopt resolutions condoling deaths of former road and building minister Savji Korat and former minister of state for rural housing Maganbhai Kasundra.

Meanwhile, the State Cabinet today discussed and finalised the Governor's speech, scheduled for the opening day of the session.

Chief Minister Keshubhai Patel said there would be a new concept in the State Budget presentation, which was under consideration.
