NAGPUR, FEB 11: In a shocking incident, a teenaged girl was abducted and gang-raped by five youths at Koradi near here late Monday night. Four of the suspected rapists have since been nabbed by the Koradi police and a hunt was launched for the fifth. The foursome has been remanded to police custody till February 15 by a local court.Police said, citing the complaint lodged in the matter, that the 17-year-old girl had gone to a neighbour's house to watch a television programme around 10 pm on Monday when prime suspects Sanjay Vasant Chaudipande (18) and Dharamdas Boridas Panna (27) reached there on a moped.
The duo forcibly took the girl to a room at Mahadula where they were joined by the remaining three suspects. For the entire night, the girl was kept confined in the room, threatened with dire consequences and repeatedly raped by the gang of five, police said.
The incident came to light when the girl narrated the incident to her sister after returning home at around 10 am on Tuesday. The Koradi policepicked up Sanjay, Dharamdas, and their two aides on charges of abduction, trespass, threatening and gang-rape. Police identified the other two culprits as Sudhakar Keshav Bidkar (23), who stays behind Irrigation Colony at Mahadula, and Narendra Upasrao Nashine (23), of Mahadula.
