VADODARA, Feb 11: In a bid to ensure smooth and regular supply of kerosene and minimise the inconvenience for ration card holders, the State government has decided to introduce a novel system on experimental basis in Vadodara from March 1.According to District Supply Officer Ashok Singh, soon each of the 237 fair price shops in the city would be earmarked for kerosene distribution for a specific number of ration card holders on particular days.
This was being done to avoid crowds on a single day, which not only inconvenienced the consumers and also increased the scope for high-handedness and corruption by shopkeepers.
