Sanjeev Nanda's custody extended to February 25

NEW DELHI, February 12: Sanjeev Nanda's judicial custody was today extended to February 25 by link Metropolitan Magistrate (MM) Ghanshyam Gupta. Earlier, the prosecution submitted that since the investigations in the case were pending, Nanda was required in custody.

In a related development, the hearing for the petition to give aid the kin of the victims filed by the Nanda family was adjourned to Monday. The petition was moved in the court of the Metropolitan Magistrate and the hearing was adjourned as MM V.K. Sharma was absent today.

Sanjeev Nanda was brought to court with his face covered to which the defence counsel raised objections and demanded an explanation. ``A test identification parade is not required. Why has the prosecution muffled his face?'' he asked. Following this, MM Gupta directed the police to remove the piece of cloth from Nanda's face.
