VADODARA, Feb 14: Even as the Gorwa police registered a case of accidental death and sent remnants of the scrap cylinder that exploded in the Ganeshnagar slum in Gorwa on Saturday to the Forensic Science Laboratory in Ahmedabad, condition of two of the injured in the explosion deteriorated further today. Two people died and at least 10 were injured in yesterday's explosion.
A police spokesman said that a case under Section 304 IPC had been registered on Sunday and the metal-shell was sent to Ahmedabad to ascertain its make and the chemicals it carried.
Meanwhile, the relatives of the deceased -- Chhagan Solanki and Ashok Solanki -- said that though they were unaware of the make of the cylinder, it was certainly not a LPG cylinder.
According to the doctors, the condition of Dahiben, Solanki's wife, and one Narsinh, a neighbour, was critical as metal pieces had entered their body, which was likely to spread further infection.
Condition of other injured, namely Hinaben, Madhuben, Shilpaben, Laxmiben, Chandubhai and Radiahbhai was stable, doctors added.
