State carrom from February 25ed home champions

PUNE, Feb 13: The inaugural Maharashtra State Ranking Carrom tournament will be hosted by the Nanded District Carrom Association at the Badminton Hall, Guru Gobind Singh Stadium, Nanded, under the aegis of the Maharashtra Carrom Association from February 25 to March 1.

The meet includes four categories - Open Singles, Women Singles, Open Doubles and Veteran Singles (above 45 years) with a total prize amount of Rs 60,000.

Entries should reach through the respective district secretaries by February 20 before 9.00 p.m. to Ashok Bhave, General Secretary, Maharashtra Carrom Association, 1/6, Girgaon Adarsh Co-Op Hsg. Society, Goregaonkar Lane, Girgaon 400004.

KG Kataria badminton
The late KG Kataria Memorial district level Badminton championship, in its second edition, and organised by the Daund Badminton Club will be held at the club courts at Daund from February 26 to 28. The tournament is sponsored by the Rupee Co-Operative Bank and is being conducted under the auspices of the Pune Badminton Association.Those interested may contact JJ Abhyankar, Jt Secretary DBC on Tel. no. 020-525889 for further details or send their entries directly to Champion Sports, Pune. The last date for receiving entries is February 20.
