Four youth broke into a Seelampur house at around 4 a.m. on Friday and stole cash and jewelry worth Rs two lakh. The Usmanpur house is owned by two elderly women -- Balbiro and Devaki -- who sub-let it to 20 tenants. The men -- armed with knives and country-made revolvers -- threatened the two women and took off with the booty. Senior police officials said that it was strange that no one raised an alarm, despite the fact that there were so many people living there.
