Judokas attack wrestlers
United News of India
Imphal, Feb 19: Peace in the National Games village was marred today when four judokas and wrestlers of Rajasthan received serious injuries after an altercation with members from their own contingent. Organising committee officials said Rajasthan judokas beat up wrestlers of their team with iron pipes. Vijayendra Singh got 14 stitches on his head while Man Singh got six stitches on his foot. Sanjay Bhar got 12 stitches while the wrestling team coach sustained serious injuries on his left hand. The 16-member wrestling team from Rajasthan came to participate in the National Games without the permission of the State Olympic Association. This reportedly led to the clash.
