Police remand for in-laws extended

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE  
CHANDIGARH, Feb 22: Police remand of Didar Singh and Amrit Kaur who are facing charges of harassing their daughter-in-law Amita Sethi for dowry, was today extended by another day by UT Judicial Magistrate (Ist Class) Tejwinder Singh.

The in-laws, who had been arrested from their New Delhi residence on February 16, were earlier remanded to three-day police custody which was further extended by two days here on February 20.

Requesting for a five-day police remand today, the prosecution stated that despite intensive custodial interrogation, the alleged accused had not yet divulged details of lockers.
