Dharmender's ton in United win
A stroke-filled 100 by Dharmender (10x4, 2x6) and an equally breezy 76 by Yashpal (8x4) and Ashok Malhotra's fine bowling (5 for 38) helped United Club beat Yorks by 83 runs in the A1 division match of DDCA league at Kotla 1. In a A3 division encounter at Khalsa College, Hind Club defeated Young Association by 36 runs and in D division at Kotla 2, Bara Hindu Rao downed Friends by 84 runs.

Brief scores: United: 245 for 7 (Dharmender 100, Yashpal 76, Ajay Thakur 2 for 45). Yorks: 162 (Neeraj Tyagi 34, Ashok Malhotra 5 for 38). Bara Hindu Rao: 226 (Ankur 50, Virender 34, Yogesh Sachdeva 4 for 32, Yashpal Chaudhary 3 for 32). Friends: 142 (Sanjay Singh 30, Sunny Grover 27, Sanjay Rawat 4 for 16, F M Tanveer 3 for 24). Hind: 131 (Devender Oberoi 29, R S Rana 28, Rahul Bansal 6 for 28). Young Association: 95 (Sushil Dogra 3 for 13, Manoj Kumar 2 for 13, R S Rana 2 for 14, Javed 2 for 23).

Transasia win
Sajid Shivanandan (75: 9x4, 4x6, 75b), Subhash Chaudhary (54: 8x4, 65b) and K S Rana (42: 4x6, 19b) helped Media Transasia topple strong favourites Indian Airlines by 40 runs in the final of Media Transasia League Cup.

Sajid Shivanandan was declared the man of the match while Naresh of the winning team (best bowler) and Rakesh Chaudhary of Airlines (best all-rounder) received special prizes.

Brief scores: Media Transasia: 210 for 5 in 30 overs (Sajid Shivanandan 75, Subhash Chaudhary 54, K S Rana 42, Sanjay Dobal 4 for 32).Indian Airlines: 170 all out in 27 overs (Onkar Singh 75, Rakesh Chaudhary 42, Naresh 3 for 21, Manoj Madhavan 4 for 19).

CRPF, Jaunti win
CRPF and Jaunti Club won the men's and women's finals, respectively, in the Godavari Devi memorial volleyball tournament at Jindpur (Delhi). In men's final, CRPF defeated Indian Air Force 25-22, 25-18, 15-25, 25-23 while in the women's final Jaunti Club beat JDM Club 25-18, 26-28, 25-22, 25-21. Prizes were given away by Kuldip Vats, president of Delhi Volleyball Association.

Khatana strikes
Ajay Khatana's unbeaten 102 featured New Delhi Bar Association's three-wicket win over District Judges XI at Kotla. Prizes were given away by Anil Dev Singh.
