PUNE, Feb 23: Alegaonkar High School's 4-2 win, via the tie breaker, against St Patrick's in the under 15 age group today, put them through to the final phase of the Inter School Invitational Hockey tournament hosted by St Vincent's HS, being played at their home grounds.The hero was makeshift keeper Vikrant who staved off three attempts during the tie-breaker. In the tie breaker Rupesh Bharwade, Bunty Rajput, Nitin Kamble and Mukund Mane were successful for Alegaonkar while Mousin Bhagwan and Modaram Choudhary scored for the opponents.
Earlier in a pool A fixtureSt Joseph's scraped past Bishop's by a lone goal. The only goal of the match came via a penalty stroke converted by Dican Rohesh in the 31st minute.
This concludes the league phase of the tournament.Vincent's `A', St Patrick's and Dastur have now qualified from the under 13 age group while St Vincent's `A', All Saints and Alegaonkar will battle it out for the under 15 title in the Super Three from tomorrow.
Today's fixtures: (Super leagues): 3.00 p.m.: (U-13) St Vincent's `A' vs St Patrick's; 4.00 p.m. (U-15) Vincent's `A' vs All Saints H School.
